“Dragon Con is simply my favorite weekend,” said the Jawa. “The nicest people are there, plus amazing chess players, and summer in Atlanta makes me feel right at home.”

“I’m thrilled to be playing for the American Heart Association. Donations will literally help save lives,” continued the Jawa. “I hope to raise over $2,000 again this year. He added, “I love that Dragon Con matches everyone’s donations. We can really make a difference!”

Individuals wishing to Play Chess with the Jawa should look for the Chess Jawa in the Marriott Lobby Level, near the Starbucks. Everyone who plays gets an “I played Chess with a Jawa” sticker. Anyone who defeats the Chess Jawa receives a Chess Jawa Patch. “We have new patches this year,” said the Jawa, “Utinni!”

“I hope everyone stops by for a game, or just to say hi and donate to the American Heart Association.” Donations can also be made online via PayPal to chessjawa@gmail.com. 100% of donations go to the Dragon Con charity.
